I recently made a promise to myself that I would blog at least twice a week. I promptly broke the promise. What was I thinking? As soon as I say "I have to..." I immediately don't want to. BUT, since redemption is a recurring theme in my life, I am back. And by that, I mean for real. But I'm going easy on myself. Blogging can be intimidating afterall. So I decided I am going to make ten lists of ten items in ten days. For the next ten days, if you choose to, you will learn about the ten facts, lies, likes, or dislikes I choose to write about myself for that day. Today, you win the ten musical groups that have shaped my life up until this point.
1. U2: The Joshua Tree. 'Nuff said.
2. The Cure: So much so that I got my hair cut like Robert Smith. No judgment, please.
3. REM: "That's me in the corner. That's me in the spotlight."
4. Nickel Creek: They are just that good.
5. 10,000 Maniacs: Good music with a conscience.
6. Indigo Girls: Smart girls with smart music and sweet voices.
7. The Smiths: Better than Morrissey solo? I dunno.
8. David Crowder Band: Smart Church music? It's kinda a rarity.
9. Depeche Mode: I danced...in my bedroom, in my car, in the club. I just danced.
10. The Dixie Chicks: Yes, I still love my country.
