Here is a list of ten recommended by my friend Leslie. When I started thinking about it, there are specific words that hurt me when they are spoken, but there are also words that hurt me when I think about them because of what they represent.

4. Judgment.
5. Indifference.
6. Disgust.
7. "Whatever"
8. Rejection.
9. Lie.
10. Silence.
